World Translation of the There are many translations of these primitive Christian Writings known as, but misnomered, "New Testament", however, the differences in these renderings are minimal and the context usually clears up any would-be biased inclination of interpretation by the individual. I personally prefer the more literal monotheistic translations such as İThe New Simplified Bible, the 2001 Translation and the world-renowned İNew World Translation. I also highly regard The American Standard Version of 1901 and the modern version of that translation, World English Bible, because these have not substituted the Tetragrammaton [YHWH/JHVH] with LORD or GOD, but correctly use the accepted English forms of Jehovah and Yahweh respectively. However, even these last two do not use the Divine Name in the Christian Writings, namely because, and admittedly, none of the earliest manuscripts to date show its inclusion. It seems inconceivable, though, that primitive Christians would have quoted from the Hebrew writings using the Greek Septuagint translation and then deliberately alter the Divine Name with substitutions in order blur the identities of the Lord Jehovah/Yahweh and the Lord Jesus Christ to the unbeliever as some modern translators would have us believe. |
